The Policy Group
Mr. Richter has represented U.S. Poultry & Egg Association and National Turkey Federation in Washington for nearly two decades, and has nearly 30 years of experience on legislative, regulatory and policy matters at the federal, state and local level. He formed The Policy Group in 1999 and works on behalf of the industry on a wide range of topics, including environmental, health and safety, defense, science and technology, labor, trade and energy policy. He has also worked with a range of clients in the global chemicals, metals, mining, agriculture and aerospace sectors.
Prior to his consulting experience with two Washington-based firms before founding his own, Mr. Richter served in policy positions in the Wisconsin and Minnesota state legislatures, and advised and represented local governments before state agencies on health, environmental, economic development, agriculture and manufacturing issues.
